Ich möchte mich bestimmt nicht als Samariter darstellen, ich bin nur im Vergleich zur Mehrheit ein Mensch mit einer anderen Perspektive.
Es gibt zwischen Menschen und Tieren einen, in diesem Fall entscheidenden, Unterschied. Das Tier ist getrieben von seinen natürlichen Bedürfnissen wie starvation, Durst, Arterhaltung und so weiter. Der Mensch hat die Wahl; er hat die Fähigkeit Entscheidungen zu treffen. Es ist ihm möglich, komplett wider seine Bedürfnisse zu hungern, um schlank zu sein; es ist ihm möglich seinen Körper mit Hormonen zu beeinflussen, um gerade keine Nachkommen in die Welt zu setzen. Meiner Meinung nach liegt es nicht in der Macht eines jeden einem anderen Menschen das Merkmal der Entscheidungsfähigkeit abzusprechen. Und auch wenn sich ein Sexualstraftäter für den Missbrauch eines Kindes oder die Vergewaltigung einer Frau entschieden hat, dann trotz alledem auf der Grundlage einer menschlichen Entscheidungsfähigkeit und nicht auf der Grundlage tierischer Triebhaftigkeit. Wenn sich nun der Täter für die Straftat entscheiden kann, dann kann er sich in Zukunft schlussfolgernd auch gegen diese entscheiden.
Meine Perspektive, wenn ich über sexuelle Gewalttäter spreche und nachdenke, ist die mit dem Blick auf den Menschen. Für mich gibt es in dieser Thematik keine Monster, für mich gibt es nur Menschen, die sich aus der Sicht der Gesellschaft, d.h. unter der Annahme unserer westlichen Werte und Normen, falsch entschieden haben. Die Aufgabe der Psychologie ist es, nicht nur das Handeln, egal in welche Richtung, eines Menschen zu beschreiben, sondern auch die Handlung, die Emotionen davor, währenddessen und danach und auch die Gedanken dahinter zu verstehen. Und es ist unter anderem meine Aufgabe als Psychologin in thematischen Bereichen, in denen ich mir als Wissenschaftlerin gesellschaftlich die Finger verbrennen kann, eine Perspektive anzubieten, die Menschen mit Fehlern dennoch nicht ihr Dasein als Mensch abspricht.
